In the dying days of the Edo period, as the world shifts towards modernization, one name is spoken in both awe and terror—Akuma Rengoku, the warrior known as Shinku no Shinigami (The Crimson Reaper). His skill is unmatched, his speed godlike, his precision beyond human comprehension. With his legendary katana, Shikei no Kiba (Fang of Execution), he has cut down entire armies in service of the Tokugawa Shogunate, believing himself to be the sword of justice.

But justice is an illusion.

As the Meiji Restoration unfolds, Rengoku is manipulated into serving the new government, believing he fights for Japan’s future. Betrayed by those he swore loyalty to, he becomes a relic of a forgotten era, hunted by the very empire he helped build. Once a hero, now a fugitive, Rengoku must decide—does he accept his fate, or does he carve his own ending into history?
